The establishment of CCPRA (Clark Centre for Peace Research and = Action) at Clark Theological College (CTC) is an attempt on the part of CTC to show solidarity with those who are involved today in search for peace and justice. Ever since we started the project in ,09, we have been actively involved do develop (a) a peace tbrary and documentation centre, (b) expertise in peace media and art (c) M.Th in Christian Ethics with emphasis on peace studies and (d) disseminate critical information and culture of eace in the region through seminars, dramas, street theatres and . publications. 

..quest for peace and justice, young people occupies a very important place. They can become instruments of change for tomorrow and therefore the voices of the young people should be heard. Keeping this in mind, the CCPRA conducts Essay and Poem writing competitions every year on the theme of conflicts and peace making and the best of these writings are edited and published. This is the second volume of Essays and Poems written by you, people. I thank and congratulate Dr Eyingbeni Humtsoe who has edited this volume. As you read through the book I hope your thoughts will be provoked and your emotions touched. 

What we are doing today is like a drop in the ocean. But someday we hope these little drops will become like the mighty ocean. It is possible to start a movement for peace in Nagaland and the region if all are involved in the quest for justice and peace. The answer to our quest for peace lies not upon a group or some groups of people. When everybody works for it, then it can become a reality. If the search for peace becomes a movement, then peace will reign in our land. And therefore let the movement begin and let it begin with you and me. May God wonderfully bless you as you read this book.
